Which types of books do you review? I review most genres, but crime and psychological thrillers are my favourite.
What do you like about crime fiction? I just love the twists and turns that come with reading crime fiction – there’s nothing better than thinking you’ve got it all figured out when there’s a huge plot twist that blows it all out of the water!
For anyone starting out, can you recommend 5 essential crime books to read? My top five at the moment would be
Silent Scream by Angela Marsons
Helen Grace series by MJ Arlidge
The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson
I Let You Go by Claire Mackintosh
and anything you can get your hands on by Agatha Christie!
Do you have 1 or 2 personal favourites? I love practically everything written by Agatha Christie and I also love the Vera series by Ann Cleeves.
New crime fiction author you are most excited by? It’s got be Angela Marsons – a brilliant debut novel!
Greatest fictional criminal? I think Amy Dunne in Gone Girl was a pretty good criminal in her own twisted way!
Greatest fictional detective? I just love Vera – but maybe because she reminds me of my mother-in-law!!

How can authors and publishers encourage you to review their books? Just be polite and ask nicely! It helps if they have a print copy they can send over, as they definitely get bumped to the top of the TBR pile!
