New crime fiction author you are most excited by? Maybe not quite ‘new’ but local author Steven Dunne – it’s always more chilling to have fictional crime taking place on your doorstep and Denzil Meyrick with his DCI Daley series.

Greatest fictional criminal? We root for the good guys

Greatest fictional detective? Miss Marple or Jackson Brodie
